Birkat HaChamah



Birkat HaChamah is the Blessing of the Sun which commemorates the creation of the sun on the fourth day of the Biblical story of Creation. The event occurs on a Wednesday (the fourth day of the week) every 28 years (10,227 days).

We took a family vacation to Ulster County, NY and did some hiking, climbing and soaking in the New Paltz area. The weather was great with sunny skies and temperatures in the eighties.

Thanksgiving '09: We have much for which to be thankful.


Chanukkah

We had our Chanukkah get together on the last day of the holiday, but had to cut things short as a nor'easter was coming in which threatened to drop lots of snow.






















































































We got a little more than a foot of snow.


It only took Sarah and me a few hours to shovel out the car and walk.
