New Year's Eve

A New Year's Eve ball usually says black tie, but this year the fete fell on a Saturday and Saturday usually screams, "white tie." I was in a quandary: Also, this is New Year's Eve, which also says, 'funny hats.' What to do?



A compromise: My scorpion string tie ( It's a real dead scorpion with a white background), but no tails, on the coat, that is. (The scorpion has a tail.)


Sarah wore something, too.

I've got my white tie and Sarah has her funny hat, or at least a headband.

We were the first couple onto the dance floor and the last to leave. Sarah was concerned that we would miss some of dinner by dancing so much, but I was not. I eat 364 days a year, but don't get to dance nearly that often.


We danced the night away.

[Note: 2012 is a Leap Year, so I'll get in 365 days of eating.]
